TEQ line art

The TK Audio TEQ is a dual-mono EQ based on the classic Baxandall circuit from the 1950s, loved by engineers for its smooth and natural sound.

With 21-position cut/boost switches, selectable peak/shelving, and 10 frequencies for each band, the TEQ allows the user to fine-tune the sound with cut/boost down to 0.25dB steps at the initial positions.
The cut/boost controls are provided with an extended range switch for a maximum range up to +/-8dB.

The HPF and LPF use 12dB filters with 6 frequencies each and common controls for left/right channels.

An M/S function is provided so that you can process Mid and Side with different EQ settings.

  • Two bands with 10 frequencies each

  • Peak/ Shelving select on each band

  • Cut/boost with up to 0.25dB resolution

  • Selectable extended cut/boost range up to +/-8dB

  • HPF and LPF with 6 frequencies each

  • M/S function

  • Cue switch for monitoring of left/right or mid/side channels

Features

  • Low frequencies
    30/45/60/90/120/180/240/360/480/720 Hz
Switch for Shelf or peak mode

  • High frequencies
    1k/1.5k/2k/3k/4k/6k/8k/12k/16k/24kHz
Switch for Shelf or peak mode

  • Cut/Boost
    +/- 0.25 dB/0.5 dB/0.75 dB/1 dB/1.5 dB/2 dB/2.5 dB/3 dB/3.5 dB/4dB
With Ex (extended range) activated, the maximum cut/boost range is extended to +/-8 dB (the steps are not exactly x2)

  • HPF 12dB/octave
    20Hz /25Hz /30Hz /40Hz /50Hz /60Hz
The HPF uses a single control for both channels.

  • LPF 12dB/octave
    12kHz /14 kHz / 16 kHz /18 kHz /22 kHz /27 kHz
The LPF uses a single control for both channels.

  • Cut and boost, HPF and LPF use rotary switches with gold contacts.
Low and Hi band frequencies are selected with relays.

  • M/S function
Lets you adjust the Mid and Side channels separately.

  • Cue switch
Allows the use to cue Left or Right channel or Mid and Side channels if M/S function is active. Two green LED’s are provided to see if the cue switch is active.

  • Super-low noise and harmonic distortion, and no electrolytic capacitors in the audio path.
    Extra-wide audio bandwidth
